Radio Silence Ended…

IMG_3357Wow!! I’m so sorry guys! Where did the time go?! Where did the last month of summer go?! Can I get an Amen on that one? Amen! I love this time of the year, I love fall, the crisp air, the scarves, the boots and jeans, football, pumpkin spice lattes and no more kids playing in the morning while I’m going to work and making me jealous! As I am writing this Northern California finally is having a cloudy in who knows how long! So a lot to update you guys on, so much has happened in my life and in the past month, I’m hoping I can get it into one post!

Starting August 10th, I gave notice to both of my jobs at Stonewood and Pottery Barn to start my dream job! Yes, I have finally landed the big girl job that I have been dreaming of since my college years. I am the head Interior Designer and Home Stager for Blue Mountain Construction Services. They build custom homes, buy homes and flip them and also build new home communities all across the Northern and Central California area. I absolutely love my job. I feel like I have been in an absolute dream since I started. My first task that I was completely over joyed about was I got an office and of course I had to decorate it, duh! I was so excited!! On my first day I walked into a building filled with cubicles and was happily waiting for them to show me mine, but we walked past all of the cubicles and I was shown a huge office and told that this was going to be mine. Cue my subconscious doing a huge dance in my head! I waited for my first pay check that friday and set to work decorating my office, I wanted it to just be one giant brainstorm, filled with white, gold, polka dots and strips, with inspirational decor pictures everywhere. I wanted my office to be the exact opposite of what I have at home to keep everything fresh so I went with a Kate Spade Theme. Everyone in my office now knows what having a Kate Spade Theme means. Post to come a little later about how my professional office turned out!

I’m still currently learning the ropes at work and taking note on things that could be better improved or systems that work great and I want them to stay like so. The people at work have been absolutely incredible, so gracious, so nice and I have a feeling I have made some lifelong friendships there already!

I will follow up with an office post later on and update you all on how the new job is progressing
