Round up of life so far

Let me tell you the tale of a computer that became very sick and almost died on  me! Yep, that my friends was my very own! I got my Mac laptop my third year in college and I’m not quiet ready to give it up yet so I took it to the “laptop doc” and I’m happy to report that we are all better now!

Yesterday I spent a whole TWO hours reading and replying to your comments, I love them! So keep them coming and please don’t be afraid to request topics that you want to see me write about. I lot of you have been asking about my love life since my Valentine’s Day post so I was going to elaborate more on that and how my life is as of right now.

I try not to make New Year’s resolutions because I feel like everyone forgets about them by mid-February, but silently I made a resolution to myself this year and that was to not to say to myself: “I have to be with someone by the end of the year” but made it simple and said to myself: “I’m going to put myself out there more in the dating world, go on some dates, get out of my comfort zone and see what the result is.” I am happy to report that I have done just that, even though it hasn’t lead to any fruition yet, it makes me feel a little bit better knowing that I am on my way to possibly meeting the future Mr. To be honest with you, I really hate dating I feel like those first couple of dates with a new guy consist of answering a series of questions and making sure that the guy across the table finds your answers attractive or not, its like a live action Wanted ad. I can’t wait to get to the part of coming home and curling up on a couch with a movie and being perfectly content with that when we both don’t feel like going out. So love life is going, is it going anywhere fast? Heck no! But it is moving and that is a step in the right direction for me. Like I have mentioned before on the blog, I was in a very toxic relationship for three years in college and now I’m going into my third year being single since him. When we broke up I was living hollow shell of my former self and it has taken all this time to build myself back up to that sexy, confident woman that I was before I met him. Although I will never be exactly like her again, because some scars are just too deep to heal but I have been able to learn to live with them and grow from there, I would say that I m back to a very confident woman again and ready to find me a man! But I’m not desperate, I want it to be right so I m still not going to settle for someone, just for the sake of being in a relationship but I’m actively pushing myself out of my comfort zone to find him. So hey here’s to hoping right?!

Another thing that I’m not going to go into too much detail on the blog unless you guys want me to is I have been exercising a lot more than I used to and actively trying to eat right lately. I just had a moment before my birthday back in June that I wanted to be in better shape and take care of myself a little bit better. When you see yourself in the mirror everyday, you don’t notice some things and just let them slide until it really affects that big picture, you know what I mean? So I have just been training hard, not to be skinny, but to just see a little bit of definition throughout my body and get a little bit more energy. So that has been a change that has turned out to be positive because I have really started to see the positive effects from it!

My professional life is getting there, oh man am I trying to make it go somewhere! I will say that California is one of the hardest places for a young Twenty Something to start out at because the cost of living is so expensive, so it is not abnormal to see a person living with their parents until they are 28 or 29. A lot of my friends still living with their parents with the main objective to pay off college loans and stack some cash. It is truly had to make it here in California in those early years. For me, I m living in my own space by myself so trying to meet rent plus the cost of everyday living in California can be a real challenge. I have been trying to break into the interior design industry here in California and it has been tough to find a company that not only wants to take me on and teach me but also respect the things that I already know and let me use them in current projects. So I’m still trying to get my professional life up to par but I have been making some steps in the right direction recently and I hope my big break is coming soon!

Otherwise that is my life currently in a nutshell, as of July 2015, so far is has been a great year. Everyone in my family is happy and healthy, the animals are doing well, I got to see my horse for my birthday. It’s been a great year so far and lets see what the second half brings!

Here are some photos from the past couple of months:
